Our Story
Shirley’s background as a Primary school teacher and living/farming in a remote West Coast community in the North Island led her to investigate alternative and natural forms of healing over 30 years ago. Later when a family member became terminally ill and massage was contraindicative, this led her further afield into therapies that could be used with anybody regardless of pre-existing conditions and illness. Namaste Clinic developed further as Shirley became aware for the need to share the knowledge she had gained, as clients became interested in how she put together her therapies and they asked if she could run courses.
The clinic offers personalised effective, unique and healing body treatments that draw on aspects from a range of modalities including Acupressure, Ayurvedic Aromatherapy and massage, elements of Reflexology, Auric energy balancing and clearing, Crystal therapy and Reiki. The courses the clinic offers cover many of these modalities and how to combine and use them effectively.
Shirley Green
Shirley trained in the de Mousgraffe Method of Healing nearly 20 years ago. She was a client of the founder of the method (Margaret Nisbet) at Ashavan Clinic. Over a period of time Shirley gained three Diplomas in the de Mousgraffe Method of Healing. The third diploma was a Teaching Diploma which enabled her to teach this amazing healing modality, which Margaret developed from her studies in USA and China.
Shirley also trained in Reiki and over a period of time gained her Master Teacher certificate to then be able to teach this as well. She has also studied and completed courses in Ayurvedic massage and Aromatherapy and Crystal work.
Shirley is passionate about her work the clinic and sharing her knowledge. Anyone can learn these wonderful healing modalities – the courses are not difficult.
