Who founded the de Mousgraffe Method of Healing
Margaret Chester Nisbet (17/06/1923 – 12/04/2006)
Hamiltonian Margaret Nisbet was the founder of the de Mousgraffe Method of Healing. Margaret was also a founding member of MINZI (Massage Institute New Zealand Inc) in 1985, the first massage association in New Zealand. In 2006 MMINZI and TMANZ (Therapeutic Massage Association NZ) merged, forming MNZ (Massage NZ) which is now MANZ (Massage Aotearoa NZ)
Margaret was a trained nurse and later she studied other healing modalities. She spent time in China and the USA working with professionals and observing many therapies, including Acupuncture, Acupressure, Reflexology, Polarity, Aromatherapy, and Swedish Massage. From this training and her experience, she created The de Mousgraffe Method of Healing technique. The de Mousgraffe Method of Healing with its holistic approach to healing brings together the best of a range of ancient healing practices.
The de Mousgraffe Method of Healing addresses physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. It is believed that combining these time-honored techniques promotes a harmonious flow of energy, supporting the body to heal itself. The de Mousgraffe Method of Healing emphasizes personalized treatment, catering to individual needs for optimal healing.
Margaret’s Ashavan Clinic became well known as a place of healing – a place for those seeking natural ways to manage stress, improve health, and cultivate inner peace, and a place to experience the magic of the de Mousgraffe Method of Healing. Margaret trained many people in the de Mousgraffe Method of Healing including her two daughters Susan and Julienne.
